A Level and BTEC Level 3 Final Options e-booklet and Jotform

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students, 

 

I am pleased to share with you the A-level & BTEC Level 3 options e-booklet and Jotform for your final A-level selections. Within the options booklet you will now be able to see the blocks from which you must make your final selections. As subjects in each block are timetabled against one another, you are only permitted to make one selection in each block. 

 

In many instances, students will opt for 3 A-level / BTEC choices with some students opting for 4 if they feel they are able to cope with the increased academic demand and workload. Students cannot opt for 5 A-levels. 

 

Special considerations:

 

• Students who wish to opt for HSK Chinese can do so as one of their choices, and this is timetabled outside of the regular timetabled slots. The demand for this remain similar to selecting an A-level, and therefore this counts as one of the 3 or 4 subject choices. 
• Students who opt for Further Mathematics must also opt for Mathematics (using two of the available option choices).

 

In the JotForm we also request that you provide us with a little information regarding the plans you may have in relation to Higher Education (post Secondary School). Whilst we appreciate you may not know at this stage, any indication of your intentions beyond Year 13 will better enable us to support you during your time in 6th form.

Please note that selections should be made by the November 1st at 4pm. To help aid the selection process further, please be reminded of the Subject teacher Q&A tomorrow evening (Thursday 21st October) communicated in my previous email.
