AS Summer Examinations 2022: Study Leave and Examination Timetable

Dear Year 12 Students and Parents,

In our continued efforts to prepare the students for their examinations in the summer, we take this opportunity to provide you with dates in relation to study leave and an overview of the examination schedule for your son/daughter.

Study leave dates for Year 12 students are as follows:

Study leave commences: Monday 2nd May

Last day of School: Friday 29th April

Students will not be expected to attend school from the commencement of their study leave.

The forthcoming Easter break, whilst an important opportunity for the students to decompress and relax, is a critical period in terms of preparation for examinations. We therefore urge the students to consider their commitments over the break and to ensure they make every effort to strike a healthy balance between study and leisure time.

The students are already in receipt of their exam entry statements from our February correspondence, which detail the dates of their exams; however, the IGCSE Summer Examinations Schedule 2022 and supplementary information can be accessed below. We would encourage the students to familiarise themselves with the information during the Easter break. Students who have since registered for retakes in some of their modular examinations should ensure they collect revised statements of entry from school upon their return from the Easter break. The timetable below accounts for these additional examinations.

AS Summer Examinations Schedule 2022

Whilst we are able to provide you with much of the necessary information in readiness for the exam series, we are still awaiting clarity from the Centre for Health Protection, in accordance with the Education Bureau, in relation to Covid-19 examination protocol. We anticipate that precautionary measures may include typical body temperature screening checks and students presenting Health Declaration Forms on their arrival.

We are working to ensure we have this clarity as soon as possible and will inform you once we have official confirmation of the necessary arrangements.

You may also note from the timetable that we have taken the decision to utilise the North Plaza campus (upper floor) to conduct the examinations. We feel that this environment is the most suitable to support the best possible exam experience for the students. We have established this as an intentional exam space previously, and feedback from the students has been positive; they benefited from the convenience, quiet and consistency of having this designated space.

We wish the students a healthy and balanced Easter break and look forward to connecting with them when we return.

In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any queries.

Kind regards,

Peter Roberts
