Dear Nursery and Reception Families,
We are pleased to announce that DBIS Book Week 2023 is coming up, starting Monday 17th April. As part of the Early Years celebrations for Book Week 2023, there will be exciting activities for the children during school hours each day to inspire the children’s love of reading, writing and illustrating.
We will also be having a Bedtime Story evening on Wednesday 19th April where Nursery and Reception students and their families are invited to come back to their own classrooms in their pyjamas with their favourite soft toy to listen to some stories. This will be a lovely opportunity for our students to share their love of reading with their families and friends. There will be two readings: at 5pm and 5.15pm.
On Friday 21st April, we invite the children to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. This is always such a joyful way to celebrate the end of Book Week together.
We look forward to a week of fun-filled, book-related activities and hope to see you at the Bedtime Story evening.
