Congratulations to our students on their excellent IGCSE results

Dear DBIS students and their families,

I am delighted to be able to write to you about our students’ excellent IGCSE results. With over 36% of all IGCSE qualifications being graded as an A* (or equivalent level 8 or 9), along with 56% of IGCSE qualifications being graded at least a grade A (or equivalent level 7), our students have performed extremely well on their IGCSE qualifications. In addition to this 95% of our IGCSE results were graded as a grade C or level 4, or better, which demonstrates that across every area of our broad curriculum every one of the students at DBIS has excelled.

Mr Stuart Bridge, our Head of School, was very proud of our children’s impressive results: “Everyone at DBIS is delighted about these tremendous grades from our Year 11 students. Our students’ success in their IGCSE results demonstrates their commitment and endeavour and we are very proud of their behalf of what they have achieved. It is also a testament to the ongoing support and direction of our inspirational teachers. Congratulations to one and all!”

It is remarkable that over 28% of our students gained a minimum of eight A and A* grades (or equivalent 7-9 levels) grades in their IGCSE results. There were many individual successes amongst our students and I would like to share a few of these with you, starting with Hana-Matilde Sullivan who was awarded a truly exceptional 10 A* (or level 8 or 9) grades. I would like to also have a very special mention to the following six students – Clive Tang, Jasper Alexander, Lucy Divers, Aoife Daniels, Tonja Hillebrandt, Caitlin Chung – who were all awarded an A* or A grade, or equivalent, for every single one of their IGCSE’s.

I would ask that you please congratulate all of our students on their IGCSE results which they should be particularly proud of.

Kind regards,

Simon Oakley
