Digital Citizenship Week and Parent Workshop

Dear Parents

The week beginning Monday 18th March will be Digital Citizenship Week at DBIS.  This year, the theme of the week will be:

Digital Wellbeing

This is a whole school event with students from all year groups taking part in a number of age appropriate activities and discussions linked to digital wellbeing. Most of the activities throughout the week will be underpinned by the conceptual lens of consent.  Activities will take place at various times throughout the week so normal timetables will not be disrupted.

As you are already aware, the entire school community has a responsibility to work together to ensure that we are keeping our students safe online.  With this in mind, there will be a parent workshop on Tuesday 19th March at 6pm in the globe, We strongly encourage you to sign up to attend this workshop so you can learn more about how you can support your child to take greater responsibility for their own digital wellbeing. The workshop will address a range of wellbeing issues, including managing screen time, online gaming, social media, live streaming and group chats.

Please sign up to confirm attendance at the parent workshop using this link.

Kind regards
