We would like to welcome you back after the summer holiday. I hope everyone had a wonderful summer and that you are all ready for a fantastic year!
Here is a quick overview of the preference submission and allocation timelines for extracurricular activities (ECAs) in Term 1 2022–23:
| Monday 29th August | ECA sign-up for Term 1 will open |
| Sunday 4th September | ECA sign-up for Term 1 will close |
| Thursday 8th September | ECA confirmation emails will be sent to all students and parents |
| Tuesday 13th September | Term 1 ECAs will begin |
| Tuesday 13th September – Friday 14th October | Term 1.1 ECAs |
| Monday 24th October – Friday 9th December | Term 1.2 ECAs |
This year, we will be using a system called SchoolsBuddy to manage ECAs and school trips. SchoolsBuddy is an all-in-one system covering sign-up, parent communications, parent consent etc.
The SchoolsBuddy 2.0 mobile application can be downloaded from the App Store for iOS devices or Google Play for Android devices.
You can also access SchoolsBuddy via a web browser by going to https://dbis.schoolsbuddy.net and entering your iSAMs login details.

ECA Online Registration (Preference Submission)
The SchoolsBuddy ECA portal will be open from Monday 29th August to Sunday 4th September for parents/secondary students to submit their ECA preferences.
Students may choose and submit up to four ECA preferences. Please note that choices are not guaranteed until the system allocation has been finalised. Emails will be sent to students/parents on Thursday 8th September, confirming which activities students will be taking part in. Students will each be allocated at least two activities (at least one for Early Years students) from their choices. Should you wish to withdraw your child from any of their allocated activities, please email [email protected] before the first scheduled session.

Please note that Term 1.2 indicates the activities will run in the second half of Term 1 only, while Term indicates the activities will run for the whole of Term 1.
To further assist parents, we will host two online sessions next week to introduce the SchoolsBuddy system:
