End of Term 1 Information for Year 5

Dear Year 5 Parents / Carers,

With the end of term fast approaching, I wanted to drop you a little note to bring your attention to the following key dates between now and then:

Friday 29th November: Reports Released
Term 1 reports are released. Please take the time to read through them in preparation for your Parent-Teacher Conferences the following week.

Week Beginning 2nd December: Parent-Teacher Conferences
Please make an appointment to see your child’s teacher during the course of the week, if you haven’t already done so via the online booking system.

Friday 6th December: Year 5 Secret Santa (information on the Google Classroom)

Tuesday 10th December: Shared Christmas Lunch
A sign-up sheet is available on Google classroom in preparation for our Christmas shared lunch. Children are permitted to come to school dressed in festive clothing ready for our year group celebration in the afternoon.

Thursday 12th December: Carols on the Pitch
Our annual ‘Carols on the Pitch’ event will take place during the evening, doors open at 17:30.

Friday 13th December: Christmas Jumper Day & End of Term
Children are encouraged to wear a Christmas jumper/something festive to school to celebrate the arrival of the holidays! A donation of $20 HKD, that will go to the House charities, would be gratefully received.

Tuesday 3rd March @ 8am in The Globe: Camp Information Morning
We will be holding an information morning for parents, offering more details about our residential camp that will be happening on between Monday 30th March- Wednesday 1st April (slight date change) and an opportunity for you to ask any questions with regard to our trip. Treasure Island Group (http://www.treasureislandhk.com/), an outdoor education specialist company, that will be hosting our residential will also be in attendance to offer their support and guidance.

The information will start promptly at 8am, in the Globe Theatre. Following the morning, all information will be posted to the Parent Portal and any questions you may have can be directed to your child’s class teacher so please don’t worry if your unable to make this date.
