Dear DBIS Parents,
We are writing to inform you of the plan for our extracurricular activities (ECA) programme next academic year. We are very focused on restarting this important part of our school’s offering in Term 1 and will look to share relevant information about the options as soon as possible. This will, of course, be dependent on any relevant Hong Kong government guidelines.
One of the key points for parents to note is that the government may require students to be vaccinated in order to take part in ECAs. At present, any students involved in many of the sports or music ECAs need to be double vaccinated at least 14 days prior to taking part. It is possible, although not confirmed, that this may change or be extended to other types of ECAs after the summer holidays.
Although there is currently no requirement for students to be vaccinated in order to attend school, we wanted to make you aware of the current and potential regulations regarding ECAs to keep you informed of the latest situation.
Please find below our planned timetable for ECAs in Term 1 of the new school year.

| Monday 22nd – Friday 26th August | Communication will be sent to all parents and Secondary students regarding Schools Buddy registration and the ECA sign-up procedure |
| Monday 29th August | ECA sign-up for Term 1 will open

| Sunday 4th September | ECA sign up for Term 1 will close |
| Thursday 8th September | ECA confirmation emails will be sent to all students and parents |
| Monday 12th September | Term 1 ECAs begin |
| Monday 12th September – Friday 14th October | Term 1.1 ECAs |
| Monday 24th October – Friday 9th December | Term 1.2 ECAs |
