Invitation to join a Year 4 Parent Meeting – 9.00am Monday 6th June 2022

Dear Year 4 Parents,

I am currently completing a Master’s degree in International Education, and as part of my dissertation, and with the approval of Mr Stuart Bridge, I am conducting some research into parental involvement in student learning here at the school.

I am particularly interested in learning more about how parents are currently supporting their children’s learning, and how this potentially changed during or because of the COVID school closures.
I am hoping that some of you would be happy to meet with me virtually or in person for about 45 minutes to discuss your thoughts and experiences in this area.

Before you decide on whether to take part, it is important for you to understand why the research is being done and what it will involve. Full details of the research can be found HERE. Please take time to read the information carefully before you decide whether or not you wish to take part.

The focus group meeting will take place online at 9.00 am on Monday 6th June 2022. If you are happy in principle to participate, please can you complete the simple form HERE with your contact details.
The meeting can be accessed on this link: meet.google.com/smi-twjt-fna
I am always so grateful for the feedback DBIS parents share with us so willingly. Your feedback helps us continue to develop our provision and better support the children, so I very much look forward to meeting with many of you to talk about parental partnerships and how we can continue to work together going forward.
Kind regards,
Susan Walter
