Dear Parents and Guardians,
We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to a Nursery Beach Picnic, which will take place on Friday 2nd June during regular school hours. The purpose of this event is to come together as a year group to support enjoyment and confidence in play with others. During this event, we will be having a snack on the beach. Please send a nut-free snack in with your child on the morning of the picnic. You are welcome to bring a nut-free snack along with you for yourself as well. We will also be participating in beach games that will develop the children’s problem-solving and collaboration skills.
On the day, the children will arrive at school at the normal school start time, accompanied by one parent or guardian. There will be coffee and tea available in the Early Years dining hall for your enjoyment whilst we get the children ready. We will set off from school together at 9.15am, arriving at the South Plaza beach by 9.30am. We aim to finish at 10.45am, arriving back at school by 11am and then resuming with our normal schedule for the day.

What to wear: PE uniform
What to bring: Sun hat, water bottle, bucket and spade, sunblock, towel and a nut-free snack
As we will be on the beach, to ensure the children’s health and safety, we suggest that you apply sunblock and insect repellant before leaving home. Please also bring these items along to reapply them during the morning.
It will be a fun-filled morning, and we will keep our fingers crossed for ambient weather. If there is rain or a hot weather warning, we will postpone the trip to a later date.
