Nursery – The Week Ahead

Dear Nursery Families,

The children have had another wonderful week exploring, making friends and engaging in new experiences. They are growing in confidence as they continue to settle in and transition into a full day at school. They have enjoyed learning about the traditions of the mid-autumn festival, and they are extremely proud of their creative lantern designs.

May we gently remind you that school finishes at 2pm next week. Rest time will be a new experience for your child. It is a quiet time when we gather together and listen to music and stories. Your child will be provided with a pillow, which we kindly ask you to take home and wash at the end of the week. To assist with caring for everybody’s possessions, please ensure all your child’s belongings are clearly labelled, including shoes, water bottles and lunch bags.

When preparing your child’s lunch, please cut all grapes lengthways as they are a major choking hazard. Please be reminded that we are a nut-aware school. We have students with severe nut allergies, so please ensure that no nuts or tree nuts are brought to school (please be reminded that store-bought pesto contains pine nuts). To avoid confusion, do let us know if your child has a nut-free spread or nut-free pesto in their lunches.

Thank you for all your ongoing support with settling the children into Nursery.

Wishing you all an enjoyable Moon Festival long weekend.

Kind regards,

The Nursery Team
