Post-Exams: Results & Appeals Information

Here is some essential information about the results process:

When will the results be released?

The key dates for both Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel International/AQA are as follows:

August 12th, 2021

Cambridge International – 13:00 HKT

Pearson Edexcel International & AQA – 17:00 HKT

How do I obtain my results?

There are two primary means of accessing your results; in person or online.

In practical terms, your options (depending on the balance of Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel International/AQA subjects you follow) are as follows:

OPTION A

Collect your Cambridge International results from the Globe between 13:00 and 15:00 on August 12th only and return to collect your Pearson Edexcel International/AQA results from the Globe between 17:00 and 19:00 on the same day.

OPTION B

Collect ALL of your results (Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel International/AQA) results from the Globe between 17:00 and 19:00 on August 12th only.

OPTION C

Collect your Cambridge International OR your Pearson Edexcel international/AQA* results at the time and place mentioned above and then access the alternative set of results through the respective secure online platform (from 13:00 and 17:00, respectively).*

OPTION D

Access Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel International through the secure, online platform(s), from 13:00 and 17:00, respectively. Please see below for access details.*

*Excluding AQA results. These can only be obtained in person. Please contact [email protected] should you be unable to collect these on the date and time of release.

How can I collect my results from school?

For those who would like to access their results in person, you must bring your HKID, passport or school ID (for current pupils), or we will not be able to issue your temporary certificates. The named candidate can only collect their certificates. No one else can do this on your behalf, and you cannot collect certificates for anyone else.

Whilst we would encourage you to come to school to collect your results, we appreciate that this may not be convenient for you.

How do I access my results online?

If you opt for the online route, you will need to ensure you have the necessary login details to access your results directly from the exam boards’ secure websites. You will receive instructions on creating a user account before Friday, June 18th. We strongly suggest that you complete this ahead of the release of the results.

I want to appeal my grade – how do I make an inquiry?

Once received, we will contact you with further details about the procedure to ensure you have clarity and make an informed decision. Please note that you will be required to acknowledge that your grade can improve, go down, or remain the same for an appeal to be processed.

In instances where Teacher Assessed Grades have been administered (Pearson Edexcel International/AQA subjects) and we are not satisfied that the grade you have received is a fair determination of your achievements, we may seek to appeal grades on your behalf. We will reach out to you if this is our intention and we feel it is in your best interests to proceed with an appeal.
