Reception Theatre Trip

Dear Parents, 

 

Reception students are invited to attend a trip to the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts theatre to watch a performance of Tabby McTat, by Julia Donaldson. The performance is on Thursday 16th January 2020 at 12pm. The children are to arrive at school at the normal time and buses will depart school at 10am. 

 

The cost of the trip will be $330 per person and is inclusive of transport to and from the theatre. Please give payment in an envelope marked with your child’s name to their class teacher by Friday 13th December 2019.

 

The viewing of this performance is a great opportunity for the children to see a narrative on stage and will support our learning about storytelling in Term 2.

 

On the day, the children will need to wear their full school uniform and bring a packed lunch and water bottle. We will have a picnic lunch at the theatre before the performance begins and we will be aiming to be back for the end of the school day at 2.40pm.

 

Each class will need 3 parent helpers on the day. A parent signup sheet will be made available on your class communication board closer to the time. If we have more than 3 parent volunteers, then names will be pulled out of a hat.
