Secondary Library Arrangements during Online Learning

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Secondary students are very welcome to borrow library books during the school closure and Chinese New Year holiday period. This can be done by using our click-and-collect service. Search the library catalogue with your child for desired titles, and using the Jotform found on our website, (direct link EY1-Y13), submit requests. Requested books will be available for collection from the Primary school office. As the campus is required to be closed to students, children will not be allowed on campus to collect these books unless they are accompanied by an adult. The last date for submitting requests before Chinese New Year will be Wednesday 26th January for collection by midday on Thursday 27th January.

Should you wish to return library books, these may be dropped to the Primary office or the security guard at the front gate. We ask that you do not leave books if the guard is not in attendance.

In addition to borrowing books, DBIS has a number of online resources students can use in support of their studies, including Britannica Online, BrainPop and Gale in Context : Middle School, among others. Details can be found on the library website under the heading ‘Databases and Research Resources’.

Thank you so much for your continued support of the library and your child’s reading.

With best regards,

Melanie Foti
