Dear Parents
Yesterday the Education Bureau announced that all classes are now to be suspended until Monday 16 March 2020. Later today, I will be meeting the Education Bureau to share my concerns and the challenges our community is facing regarding this extended period of suspended classes. I will share more details with all in our school community early next week.
Delaying the opening of school will impact on a number of planned school activities:
March 18: Secondary Sports Day – CANCELLEDMarch 19 – 23: U13 FOBISIA Games – CANCELLED by FOBISIA, more details to follow as soon as possibleMarch 18 – 19: Secondary Production – REARRANGED to Term 3, dates to be confirmedMarch 28: International Food Fair – CANCELLEDYear 3, 4 & 5 Camps – UNDER REVIEW, more details to follow as soon as possible
Once again we are faced with a significant challenge. I am proud of how our entire Discovery Bay International School community has already pulled together in support of each other during this enforced closure and I thank you all for your ongoing patience and support.
Kind regards
