Dear Parents and/or Guardians,
For the start of your child’s IGCSE Programme in August, we will be conducting a number of moves to balance the tutor groups. With a number of leavers and new arrivals our current tutor groups are no longer balanced, hence the need for a few changes.
The changes of form group will have no bearing on House Grouping and classes for taught programmes. These will remain unchanged meaning no new sports clothing will be required unless you are replacing it due to general wear and tear.
Coinciding with the reshuffle of groups will be the appointments of new tutor group staff members. As you will no doubt be aware Mr Haggarty and Mrs King will sadly be leaving our team due to their departure from Hong Kong. Mrs Basford will also be leaving our team to join the Year 7 Tutor Team. We will miss them all and wish them all well in their future endeavours. The new appointees bring with them a wealth of experience and many skills that will prove invaluable in their role as a tutor.
The following members of staff will lead each tutor group for the next year:
- Lightning – Ms Best
- Storm – Mr Sheehan
- Thunder – Ms Phoenix
- Typhoon – Mr Carrigan
As always we will start the year with an excellent group of students and well equipped and enthusiastic group of tutors. We look forward to the new term and starting the IGCSE Programme.
