Dear Parents
I am writing to make you aware that Mrs. Merridy Smits will replace Mrs. Emily Sharman as class teacher of Y2ES as Mrs Sharman will be on maternity leave, from Monday 29 April. Mrs Sharman will not be returning to DBIS until October 2019, therefore Mrs Smits will be working with Mrs Sharman's current class until the end of the academic year. We are very fortunate to be able to appoint Mrs. Smits to this position as she has considerable experience working with the school.
We are also very happy to inform all our Year 2 parents that Mrs Karen Willder will be assuming Mrs Sharman's role as Year Group Leader and will oversee the leadership of the teaching and learning and pastoral welfare of all the children in Year 2 in her absence.
I know you will want to extend Mrs Sharman your very best wishes during her leave and offer a warm welcome to Mrs. Smits as well as congratulate Mrs Willder on her appointment to the role as Acting Year Group Leader for Year 2.
