Y5 Castle Peak Power Station Trip

Dear Year 5 Parents,
On Tuesday 24th September 2019 and Thursday 26th September, we will be taking our Year 5 students to the Castle Peak Power Station, as part of our ‘Full Power’ Discovery Unit.
  • Y5RA and Y5LM will be going on the 24th September
  • Y5IM and Y5HK will be going on the 26th September
The coaches will leave at 9am and we will be back at DBIS in time for lunch, however please bring a packed lunch to school on this day, on or before 12.15pm, incase we are back a little later than expected. This is because we may miss the Primary opening times for the cafeteria, which may cause a problem if your child normally eats there at lunch time. We endeavor to be back by 12.30pm.
For the trip, your child will need to wear full DBIS school uniform, have their hat, reusable water bottle and healthy snack with them in a backpack.
We will provide all clipboards, stationary etc so there is no need to bring any of these items.
If your child gets car sick, please can I ask that you inform your child’s class teacher if the nurse is unaware of this.
We would also like to invite 5 willing, parent volunteers for each day to help supervise on our trip. If you are available on the day in which your child will be attending the power station (and happy to come along), please can you email myself at: [email protected] – many thanks in advance, for your time and help with this.
Thank you for your continued support and help with these events.
Kind regards,
Rachel Anne Ashcroft
