Year 10 – Head of Year Welcome

Welcome from Head of Year 10

Dear parents, guardians and students,

I hope this letter finds you healthy and refreshed after the Summer break. After a summer of exploring the delights that Hong Kong has to offer I’m raring to get stuck into this new academic year!

I’m pleased to say that we have a great tutor team, who are looking forward to supporting their tutees and helping to steer all students towards success in their school qualifications. Our team consists of:

Please do ensure that the tutors are your first point of communication should you have any concerns throughout the academic year.

In order to ensure a successful start to this academic year, I would like to take a moment to reiterate the school expectations for students during our online learning phase:

  • Students should arrive promptly to lesson by clicking the classroom link on their google calendar, and then joining the meetcode found on that classroom.
  • Students should arrive with mic off and camera on.
  • Students should be appropriately dressed.
  • Students should have a designated workspace that is prepared with their learning materials and cleared of distractions.
  • Students should engage with their lesson as much as possible by answering and asking questions.

Looking to the year ahead (circumstances depending), here are some dates specific to our year group (these will also be communicated nearer to the time).

23/09/2020 : Transition reports

12/11/2020: Short reports and tutor reports

03/12/2020: Swim Gala

19/03/2021: Strength and target reports

17/05/2021: Mock examination week begins (students off timetable)

15/06/2021: Mock examination reports

All that remains to say is I wish you a positive, productive, happy and healthy academic year ahead, and I look forward to the point when I can welcome you back onto the school site.

Best regards,

Mr Nicholas Moore
