Year 11 Welcome back to term 3

Dear Parents of Year 11,

Welcome to our final term of Year 11. I would like to start by thanking all those parents who were able to attend our Year 11 PTSC this week. I hope this was a valuable set of conversations to help set our students up for success just before they embark on their study leave.

In school, this is a relatively short term with just 2 weeks of crucial classes remaining before the final day on Friday 5th May.

Beyond that day, students will be on study leave and only be expected to attend school for their examinations. We appreciate that students may still want to avail themselves of support from their subject teachers, and details of how this will be coordinated will be shared closer to the time.

It is worth noting that some examinations (Mandarin and Geography come to mind) do actually commence before the 5th of May. On these days, students are not expected to attend lessons, but can if they choose to. Students are also allowed to take the day before their examination day as study leave if they choose. For example, if students have an exam on Wednesday 26th April, they can choose to take Tuesday 25th April as a study leave day.

If you have specific questions regarding the examinations, please do contact our examinations officer, Adam Reid: [email protected]

For you any other queries, you are welcome to contact me.

Wishing our Year 11’s the best success in their exams to come!

Nicholas Moore ([email protected])
