Year 4 Term 3 Welcome Letter

Dear Parents,

We are delighted to be able to welcome the Year 4 students back to school after the Easter holidays. Each class will be able to learn on campus, every day between 8:15am and 1:00pm.  As a result the class timetables have been adapted and can be found on the links below:

Please find below key information regarding the new procedures.

Arrival and Departure

Class registration is at 8:15am (gates open at 8:05am) and school will finish at 1pm. Year 4 students will arrive and leave through the main gate. Please note that only Secondary students will be leaving via the back gate from next term.

 

Snacks 

Due to the longer mornings, it is essential that the children have two sufficient, easy to eat, healthy snacks to keep them going until they return home after being dismissed at 1pm.

 

PE 

All year groups now will receive one hour long PE lesson each week – please check the class timetable for the PE day.

 

Library

Students will browse and borrow online as part of the regular afternoon activities. Books will then be delivered to classes.

 

Afternoon Activities

Between 2.00 and 3.00pm, afternoon activities will be available online. These are independent activities linked to the curriculum, that the students will self manage. The activities will be shared with the children via Google Classroom.

 

Chromebooks

We ask that Chromebooks are returned to school so that we can use them to support in school learning. Should your child need their Chromebook to engage in the afternoon activities this can be arranged with your child’s teacher.
