Parent Letter – VIA Character Strength Survey – to be completed by Sunday 30 August

Dear Year 5 Families,

As part of the Discovery Learning to Learn Unit we are talking about our beliefs and values. To support this we would really appreciate it if you could help your child complete the VIA Character Strengths Survey online. This is a great method for children to understand areas that they are personally strong in. 

Your child will answer a range of multiple-choice questions, they are then given a list of their top 5 Character Strengths. We will be exploring these strengths through our Discovery lessons next week.

Please can you complete the survey with your child on the link below (children under 13 must complete through an adult’s login/account):

Step 1- click VIA Youth Survey

Step 2 – select ‘I’m under 13’

Step 3 – Parent registers and then your child takes the ‘Youth Survey’ under your account

Step 4 – Then, please can your child then complete this quick Google Form to note down their top 5 Character Strengths.

If the Character Survey and the Google Form could both be completed by Sunday 30th August, that would really support our Year 5 learning.
