Year 7 Trip

Dear Parents,

As part of your child’s humanities course they have recently been studying the topic ‘Sustainability’. In order to consolidate and enrich their understanding of the topic, DBIS are proudly joining together with Ark Eden to plant native trees in Mui Wo.  This unique experience will allow participants help regenerate the forests in our surrounding hills.

You may be aware that in years past non-native trees have been planted in the area which local insects, birds and other animals are not used to, resulting in silent forests.  This exciting day out will be to plant native trees which will increase biodiversity and also stop soil erosion in the area. For more information please read this recent article written by Jenny Quinton from Ark Eden.

The details are:

Time:  8am to 3.10pm
