Communication of Notices

• We would like to welcome Anne-Sofie Sullivan into the Year 4 Team, who has taken over from Amie Rae on Thursday 28th November.
• With the weather getting cooler, children are able to wear jumpers and hooded jumpers in the classroom if needed. If the jumper has a hood, they should not wear these up in the classroom.
• A reminder for Better than Befores: please can the children meet in the canteen at 2pm for a 2:10pm start. Please can the certificates be brought down to the office before / during lunchtime, so that Kammi has time to generate the list prior to assembly (she goes for lunch at 1:15pm). Thank you!

 

Thank yous!

• A huge thank you to Amie Rae for everything she has brought to Team 4 during Term 1 and an enormous CONGRATULATIONS! Welcome to the world Bodi Jack Rae, weighing in at 5lbs 6oz. Just like his Mum, he is already an absolute legend. Amie, I can’t imagine you are reading these briefing minutes (can’t think why not?!), but we send you all our love and wish you every happiness with the newest man in your life.
• Thank you to the Year 5 Team for such a successful Open Morning. The Kahoot was such a great idea and really bonded the parents, while successfully engaging the children – it was so good to watch! Thank you for making your environments look so inviting too. The parents were very impressed by the quality of the children’s learning and the progress they have made. Thank you.
• Thank you to Anne-Sofie for her flexibility and for stepping into her maternity role a little earlier than expected! The handover-process has been so thoughtfully managed and we hugely appreciate your commitment to the children in Y4AR and to Team 4.
• A few weeks ago, Debbie and Rachel organised a charity sale of Carters babywear, raising $1600 dollars for The Forever Angels Charity. A huge thank you to all who contributed and to Debbie and Rachel for their great idea and organisation.
• Thank you to you all for the time that has gone into the short reports. Your time on this is very much appreciated; it was clear how well you know your children and how much you love to teach them too. Thank you also for the PTC preparation for next week as well. The parents really appreciate the time you spend discussing their children’s success and next steps, as do we. Thank you.
• A double thank you to the Year 6 team for their Camp Information Evening and the Y6 Celebration of Learning, ‘Why Do People Migrate?’. The camp information evening was informative and exciting, with such clear organisation shown. Thank you to all of the Y6 Team for supporting the event. The waxwork museum this morning was excellent! The depth of knowledge the children shared showed deep connections which will result in long-lasting learning. Thank you.

• Carols on Pitch (call back event). Set up and rehearsal in the daytime. Doors open 5.30 pm. Music starts at 6.30 pm. Concert ends (approx.) 7.30 pm
• Staff Meeting:  Meetings Free (due to Carols on the Pitch)

Friday

• Christmas Jumper Day
• Friday Morning Tea – A Christmas FEAST and Secret Santa! Year 4, LT, Y6, Music and Art
• Assembly – Festive Sing-a-long!
