Severe Weather & School Closure Procedures

Please find below information about DBIS’ procedures in the case of School Closure due to Severe Weather or other circumstances.

Severe Weather notifications:

DBIS will notify parents as soon as possible through the following channels:

  1. Email
  2. SMS (if time critical)
  3. A pop up message will be posted to the Hub
  4. An Alert will be added to the School Website

ECA cancellations:

DBIS will notify parents by 6:30am (for morning ECAs) through the following channels:

  1. A pop up message will be posted to the Hub
  2. A bulletin will be also be posted to the Hub

Fire and Emergency Evacuation:

DBIS will notify parents as soon as possible through the following channels:

  1. Email
  2. SMS (if not a drill)
  3. A pop up message will be posted to the Hub
  4. An Alert will be added to the School Website

DBIS will notify parents as soon as possible through the following channels:

  2. Bulletins on the Hub with supporting information
  3. Online learning page will be reactivated
  4. An Alert will be added to the School Website
