Dear parents,
We are writing to inform you that we have now had to make the difficult decision to cancel the Year 3 Show.
Every year the Year 3 team strives to ensure the creation of the show is as student-led and as linked to the Year 3 curriculum as possible. This year has been no exception. Sadly, however, as we are not in a position to be able to support large gatherings of people, and with the ongoing school closure, we are sure you can understand why we have had to make this decision.
Over the past few weeks, the Year 3 students continually impressed us with their enthusiasm, creativity and innovation while producing the Year 3 Show. We know how disappointed they will be to hear this news and kindly ask for your support in explaining to them why this decision was made.
We would also like to thank the Music and LT department for the guidance and support they provided to the students for the technical and musical elements of the scenes.
As the show was intended to be the celebration of learning for Term 2, we will instead have an open morning on Thursday 2nd of April at 8:30 am. This will be a chance to see learning in the student’s books, school closure learning and we will also showcase any work already completed for the show. This may include scene plans, draft scripts, costume designs, photos and some animations.
Many thanks for your support and understanding.
Year 3 Team
