Dear Parents and Carers,
The EY1 team are very excited to finally welcome the children back to school. As per Miss Cole’s letter we will be welcoming the children to EY1 from Wednesday 16th September.Â
The school day for the first week (16th to 22nd September) will be from 8.30am to 12pm. Your child’s snack and outdoor learning time will be between 9.45 – 10.30am. Upon arrival we kindly ask that you and your child are wearing a mask (masks are to be worn at all times while at school) and that you enter via the school’s side gate.Â
When you arrive at your child’s classroom we ask that you ‘kiss and drop’ your child at the door, where they will be greeted by their class teacher and educational assistant. Due to EDB guidelines we are unable to congregate outside classrooms and on the school grounds. We understand that the return to school may be a daunting prospect for some children and if you envisage this to be the case, please make contact with your child’s class teacher prior to Wednesday by emailing [email protected]. There will be lots of adults around to support the children as they return on Wednesday, including members of the Early Years Leadership Team.Â
In preparation for the start of term children are to wear their DBIS school uniform and we ask that your child has the following items in their school bag and they are all clearly labelled:Â
- school hatÂ
- water bottleÂ
- a snack (please ensure your child’s snack is nut free and they are able to open their snack)
- spare uniform and underwear
- a spare mask in a labelled zip lock bag
Following the communication from Mrs Cassidy we also ask that you take your child’s temperature before he/she comes to school every day and fill in the Health Monitoring Record Card – LINK. Your child should bring the completed record card to school each day, for their class teacher to review.
We cannot wait to see you all in person on Wednesday 16th September.Â
Kind regards,Â
The EY1 TeamÂ
