Year 2 Space Museum Trip

Dear Year 2 Families,

On Wednesday, 30th April 2025, Year 2 students will visit the Hong Kong Science Museum as part of their Discovery Unit, What Lies Beyond.

This trip will allow students to visit the different exhibits on offer at the Space Museum and to visit the space auditorium to watch Tilt.

Tilt takes students on a journey into outer space to explore how the tilt of the Earth’s axis causes the seasons and affects the sunshine and temperature in the northern and southern hemispheres. They will also learn how the four seasons are defined and divided astronomically.

Please ensure you have completed the Jotform here to give permission for your child to attend this trip.

Students are to arrive at school at the normal time of 8:25 am and busses will depart at approx 9am.

The cost of the trip has been covered in your most recent payment for the Y2 Science Museum Trip.
No payment is due for this trip.

On the day, children will need to wear full school uniform and bring a packed lunch, snack and water bottle.

We will require some parent helpers to support us with this exciting trip. A parent sign up sheet will be made available by your class teacher closer to the time. If an ample amount of parents volunteer then names will be chosen from a hat.

If you have any further questions please contact your class teacher.

Many thanks,

The Year 2 Team
