Year 2 Space Museum Trip Reminder

Dear Year 2 Families,

A reminder that on Wednesday, 30th April, Year 2 students will visit the Hong Kong Space Museum as part of their Discovery unit, ‘What Lies Beyond’.

This trip will allow students to visit the different exhibits on offer at the Space Museum and to visit the space auditorium to watch Tilt.

Tilt takes students on a journey into outer space to explore how the tilt of the Earth’s axis causes the seasons and affects the sunshine and temperature in the northern and southern hemispheres. They will also learn how the four seasons are defined and divided astronomically.

Please ensure you have completed the Jotform here to give permission for your child to attend this trip.

Please note:

  • Students are to arrive at school at the normal time of 8.25 am
    • Students will need to wear their school PE kit
    • Students will need to bring a snack and a water bottle in a bag that they can carry independently
    • All students will require a packed lunch on this day

Many thanks to those parents who have volunteered to help us with the trip. An email has been sent with further information for these volunteers.

If you have any further questions, please contact your class teacher.

Best wishes,

The Year 2 Team
