Initial Parent–Teacher Conferences August 2025 (FS-2 – Year 6)

Dear Parents,

I am sure you are finding it hard to believe that the current academic year has drawn to a close and your child will soon be embarking on a new academic year in August.

As you are no doubt aware, at DBIS we place great importance on the partnership between home and school in order to ensure optimal progress and development for your child. Establishing positive relationships with our families is an important initial part of this process. With that in mind, I would like to give you advance notice of the Parent–Teacher Conferences (PTCs) that will be taking place during the first two days of term, Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th August 2025. The purpose of these meetings is for you to share pertinent information about your child with their new teacher so that we can best support their learning journey in the year ahead.

In order to book your PTC, please follow the link below (the system will open from 3pm on Friday 27th June). The booking system will remain open throughout the summer break and will close at 5pm on Friday 15th August.

Please remember to enter your child’s new year group and class when making the appointment.

This year, we will also be asking you to complete a jotform which will help us prepare for these initial conversations and maximise time in your PTC. Please find the link to the jotform below:

Please note, these appointments are for parents with children in FS-2 to Year 6. FS-1 parents will receive separate information about PTCs due to the staggered nature of the children’s entry to DBIS.

In order to facilitate these start-of-year PTCs, the children will finish earlier on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th August, according to the times below:

FS-2: 11.30am

Year 1 – 6: 12pm

Please note, children will not have lunch at school on these days.

We look forward to meeting you in August to learn more about how we can support your child to achieve their potential as they continue their learning journey at DBIS.

Best wishes,

Hannah Tait
