We hope you had a lovely summer break. We are excited to announce that Primary swimming lessons will resume within Term 1.1, led by our experienced PE team and qualified swimming coaches. Swimming lessons will begin on Wednesday 20th August.
DBIS swimming lessons always prioritise safety and fun for the students, in small-group settings. Lessons are tailored to each child’s ability and aim to build water confidence and swimming techniques. Swimming is a compulsory part of the DBIS curriculum. If your child is unable to take part for any medical reasons, please email their class teacher or PE teacher before the lesson.

DBIS SwimwearÂ
Students are required to wear the DBIS swimwear for their lessons. On your child’s swimming day, they should come to school wearing their PE kit. For students who have their swimming lesson in the morning, we advise that they wear the swimwear underneath. New students are able to wear their own suitable swimming kit until 1st September if needed.
DBIS have introduced new school PE kit swimwear this academic year; this will be available to buy from the uniform shop from Friday 15th August. Please note that the current swimwear will be fully phased out by June 2026, allowing ample time for this transition.
