AMC Registration by 18th September

Dear DBIS Families,

As part of our individualised curriculum at DBIS, at times we invite students to participate in enrichment opportunities both within and outside school in their area(s) of passion. If your child has a passion for or strong capability in Maths, we would like to offer an opportunity to extend their learning through participating in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC), which takes place in person at DBIS through ASEEDER. This is an opportunity for students in Year 4 to Year 6.

Your child would participate after school, sitting a written paper, on Monday 29th September 2025. Please see the timings and locations below:

Y4 – Y6 students: 3.45 pm – 4.45 pm in The Globe

All students with permission to walk home will be allowed to leave by themselves, but if your child requires collecting from this event, please meet at the front gate at 4.45 pm.

Competition Details From AMC:

“The AMC is an engaging 30-problem competition that demonstrates the importance and relevance of Mathematics in students’ everyday lives; it is open to students in Years 4 to 6 students in the primary school. Australia’s leading educators and academics, with a deep understanding of our national curriculum standards, actively design the unique AMC problems each year. We believe every student should have the chance to discover their full potential in mathematical problem solving, in a way that is approachable, interesting, challenging, and creative.”

The cost per student to participate is HK$200. This is a discount offered to DBIS so please note that the price on the flyer will be different.
