Dear Year 2 Families,
On Thursday, 12th February, Year 2 will be watching the stage performance of ‘Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book’. This will be held at the Performing Arts Centre in Wan Chai.Â
Students are to arrive at school at the normal time of 8:25 am, and buses will depart at approximately 10:30 am.
The cost of the trip will be $450 per child, which includes the show ticket and the transportation for your child.
Later in February, we will also be going to the Science Museum, at a cost of $50 per child, which covers the cost of transport.
Please make a payment of $500 per child to cover the cost of both trips next term.
Payments must be made by 6th February 2026 for your child to attend. Please submit payments of cash or cheque (payable to Discovery Bay International School) to the main office. If you wish to pay via Bank Transfer, please use the following details:

On the day, children will need to wear a full school uniform, bring snacks, a packed lunch and a water bottle. We will have a snack at school before we leave and then lunch upon arrival. Please make sure it is an easy lunch to eat, as we do not want to make a mess in the theatre building. Please also remember we are a NO NUT school.Â
We will require some parent helpers to support us with this exciting trip. A parent sign-up sheet will be made available by your class teacher closer to the time. If an ample number of parents volunteer, then names will be chosen from a hat.
