Year 6 Celebration of Learning – Waxwork Museum

Dear Year 6 Families,

We are delighted to extend an invitation to you for our upcoming Celebration of Learning on Thursday, 26th March. The event will take place in the Gym from 8 am to 8.30 am. This will be a wonderful opportunity for your child to showcase their learning from our Discovery unit on ‘Migration’ as well as their English work related to autobiographies.

We welcome you to meet with other parents for coffee and refreshments outside the Globe from 7.45 am to 8 am while the children complete their final preparations before heading to the gym at 8am.

As parents, you are invited to interact with the wax figures. As you approach the wax figure, they will come to life and tell their migration story. You may find the questions below useful when speaking to the migrants. Please award each a sticker (provided at the gymnasium entrance) as a token of appreciation. Please approach those who are displaying fewer stickers and speak with them.

We have recently installed new flooring in the gymnasium, and we request that you wear non-marking shoes or trainers, and absolutely no high heels. Please be aware that you may be requested to remove your shoes on entry if they could potentially cause damage to the floor.

We are looking forward to seeing you at this special event and celebrating the hard work and achievements of our Year 6 students.

Warm regards,

The Year 6 Team
