Sixth Form Beginning-of-Term-1 Arrangements

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope you are all enjoying the final days of the school holidays. I am writing to provide a clear reminder of the beginning-of-term arrangements for Sixth Form students.

Year 13 Students

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Main Campus.

  • First Day: Tuesday 19th August.
  • Arrival Time: 8.20am.
  • Tutor Groups: Tutor groups and bases have changed. Please meet Mrs Boddington upon arrival to receive your new tutor information.
  • Dress Code: Students must wear clothing that follows the Sixth Form dress code.
  • School Photo: Individual school photographs will be taken during tutor time by a professional photographer.
  • Welcome BBQ: Year 13 students are invited to a BBQ with Year 12 after school (3.30pm) to welcome the new students and celebrate the start of the year in style!

Year 12 Students

Year 12 will embark on a week-long induction programme. 

Monday 18th August

  • Arrival Time: 9am at the North Plaza Campus. Please report to reception to register.
  • What to Bring: A device or notepad to record key information and take notes during workshops.
  • Dress Code: Students should be dressed according to the Sixth Form dress code.
  • Lunch: A canteen service will be available.
  • School Photo: Individual school portraits will be taken by a professional photographer.

Tuesday 19th August

  • Arrival Time: 8.20am at the Main Campus. Please go straight to your tutor group rooms on arrival.
  • Activities: The day will be focused on team-building activities, followed by a welcome BBQ at 3.20pm.
  • Dress Code: Students should wear their PE kits (house top, black or navy sports shorts, and trainers). If you need a house PE kit, please purchase one at the school uniform shop. 

Wednesday 20th – Friday 22nd August

  • Activities: The week will include transition assessments and workshops, culminating in Year 12 delivering a house activity for the new Year 7 students on Friday.
  • Dress Code: The standard Sixth Form dress code is required, with the exception of Wednesday and Friday afternoons, when students can change into their PE kits at lunchtime for the activities taking place during period 5. 

Year 12 IGCSE Exam Results Collection

  • Students are encouraged to collect their examination results on Thursday 21st August from 3.30pm at the Main Campus. 
  • I will contact you directly to arrange a meeting if your child has not met the grade requirements for their A Level courses.
