Dear Year 2 Families,
As part of our ‘Brilliant Botanists’ Discovery unit, we will be welcoming botanical artist Sally Grace Bunker to our classrooms on Wednesday 8th November for a morning of art inspired by nature.
Sally is a Lantau-based artist who has previously worked in education as a school principal. You can find out more about her on her website Sally Grace Bunker- Botanical Art (leafy.hk) We have been inspired by the illustrations in Sally’s book Trees of Hong Kong, and we have been learning sketching and watercolour skills and creating our own works of art based on flowers and plants in our environment.
Sally will come to spend time with each Year 2 class and will share some of her artwork and also teach the children some specific art skills.Â
