Children’s Mental Health Week: 3rd – 7th February

“Know Yourself To Grow Yourself”

Dear DBIS Community,

We are very excited to be celebrating ‘Children’s Mental Health Week 2025’ at DBIS from Monday 3rd – Friday 7th February.

This year’s theme is ‘Know Yourself To Grow Yourself’ and we will be offering a range of activities over the week that offer students the opportunity to celebrate and explore their own wellbeing and mental health.

Our week of events will include: Boogie Breaks, Feel-Good Music, Class Stories, Arts & Crafts, Yoga & more!

You can also check out the below additional activities for parents and students:

Parent Focus Group

Thursday 6th February, 8.30am – 9.30am

We invite you to participate in an important focus group dedicated to discussing children’s mental health. Your insights and experiences are invaluable in helping us understand and support our children’s wellbeing at DBIS. This session is open to all DBIS parents.

Please sign up here by Friday 24th February to attend.

‘Inside Out 2’ – Movie Screening (Secondary Students)

Thursday 6th February, 3.30pm – 5pm

Secondary Students are invited to attend a screening of ‘Inside Out 2’ after school on Thursday 6th February, starting at 3.30pm in the Globe.

‘Inside Out 2’ is a sequel to the beloved animated film ‘Inside Out’ that explores emotions and mental health from a child’s perspective. It serves as a valuable tool for fostering conversations about emotions and mental health in a relatable and engaging way.

Students will be able to independently sign up for this session during school hours.

Dress to Express Day

Friday 7th February – All Phases

All students can come to school dressed in their favourite clothes which help to express who they are and make them feel comfortable and confident. Students can donate HK$10 towards Mind HK.

‘Inside Out’* – Movie Screening (Primary Students)

Friday 7th February, 3.20pm – 5pm

Primary students from Years 1–6 are invited to attend an after-school screening of ‘Inside Out’ in the DBIS Globe.
