DBIS students to perform in Musical Version of “The Witches”

4 Discovery Bay International School students from year 3 to year 7 are performing in the upcoming musical production of Roald Dahl's The Witches.

Sierra DeCalvares (year 6), Amy Tang (year 3), Harry Mullen (year 6) and Phoenix Broderick (year 7) are all members of The Performers Studio, who have been specialising in semi-professional children's theatre in Hong Kong for 11 years now. The Performers Studio Theatre Company showcase their talent twice a year, with a drama production each winter and a musical production each summer. This year they are very excited to be the first theatre company ever to have been given the rights to be able to perform Roald Dahl's The Witches to an audience in Asia.

In David Wood’s magical adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The Witches, we are given an extremely family-led production sure to delight audiences of all ages!

This story translates so deliciously to the stage with The Grand High Witch and her itchy witches, sniffing and cavorting in crazy wigs as they plot to squish and squelch every single child in England. When Girl unwittingly stumbles upon the eccentric witches meeting, can she muster enough courage to take on the witches and thwart their plan?

Can one young girl and her elderly Grandmother save the day?

This joyous, fast-paced, belly laughing production uses puppetry, dance and an amazing score to bring to life one of Roald Dahl’s most magical stories. A delight on the senses!

Think you can outwit a witch and outrun a mouse?

Then Don't Miss It!
