Dive into Term 3 with Book Week!

Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

From 22nd to 25th April, we will be celebrating books and reading with a Book Week full of fantastic activities and competitions.

The theme of this year’s Book Week is ‘Read to Connect: Building Community Through Stories‘ because at DBIS we believe in the power of books to spark conversations, foster connections and build community.

Find all you need to know on the Book Week website!

Key dates and events:

Wednesday 23rd April – Book Fair

We are partnering with the book outlet Fun to Read from 9am to 4pm in The Globe. Students will have the opportunity to shop for books during the day, and parents are very welcome to visit the book fair from 3.10pm – 4pm. Fun to Read accept a host of payment options, including Octopus, cash and credit card.

Friday 25th April – Book Dress-up Day

All students are invited to come dressed as their favourite literary character, author, illustrator or book for a HK$20 donation to the library’s chosen charity, Bring Me A Book Hong Kong, a non-profit that puts books into the hands of underserved children here in Hong Kong.

We look forward to turning books into conversations and sparking connections during Book Week!
