End-of-Year Bulletin – Year 9

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we come to the end of another academic year, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of our Year 9 students. This has been a challenging year for all of us, but I am proud of the resilience and determination that our students have shown throughout.

Year 9 students have demonstrated their commitment to learning, their ability to collaborate effectively with others, and their leadership potential. They have also shown a strong sense of responsibility towards themselves, others and the environment.

As we prepare for the next academic year, I would like to remind parents and students that Year 10 is an important year in the students’ academic journey. It is a time when they begin to focus on their future goals and make important decisions about their education and career paths.

Over the summer break, Year 9 students are encouraged to take some time to reflect on their academic achievements and set goals for the coming year. This is an important time for students to think about their strengths and areas for improvement and to plan how they will continue to grow and develop as learners. We also encourage students to use this time to read and engage in other academic activities to prepare themselves for the challenges of Year 10.

The first day of the new academic year will be on Thursday 17th August 2023. On this day, students will be welcomed back to school and will have the opportunity to meet their new teachers and classmates. We are excited to start the new academic year with renewed energy and enthusiasm. We would strongly encourage students and parents to be aware of school uniform expectations and required school equipment that can be found in the Secondary Parent Handbook

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our Year 9 students a restful and enjoyable summer break. We look forward to seeing them back at school in August, ready to continue their academic journey.

Best regards,

Tracey Smal
