Dear Year 11 Parents and Guardians,Â
I hope this message finds you well at the end of a very long term. As we approach the mock exam season, we want to ensure that our Year 11 students are fully prepared and supported throughout their revision journey. To this end, the English department is pleased to announce two important events designed to help your child develop essential exam techniques in a low-stakes and supportive environment.
Walk and Talk Mock Sessions
We will be hosting two ‘Walk and Talk’ mock sessions in The Globe. These sessions are specifically designed to simulate the exam experience while providing a nurturing atmosphere for our students to ask questions and to follow teacher guidance and model examples. The details of the sessions are as follows:
English Literature Walk & Talk Mock Session
Date: Tuesday 29th October
Location: The Globe
Time: 2pm – 3.10pm
English Language A: Walk & Talk Mock Session
Date: Thursday 31st October
Location: The Globe
Time: 8.15am – 9.45am
We strongly advise that students attend these sessions as they provide valuable revision time and help ease exam worries. We have organised these sessions to occur during English lessons, but we have also allocated some extra time where necessary. Your support in ensuring that students arrive promptly and prepared is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your continued partnership this year. We are looking forward to seeing all students at these sessions, where they can practise their exam technique in a supportive setting.
Best wishes,Â
Mr Ioan Morgan
