EY1 PANTS Programme

Dear EY1 Families,

At DBIS, we are extremely committed to supporting the social, emotional, psychological and physical development of all our students. Coupled with this, our drive is always to provide the most robust and rigorous safeguarding and child protection procedures possible.

Our EY1 children will have started the PANTS programme if they attended Reception at DBIS. In EY1, the programme builds on their prior learning experiences.

The EY1 class teachers will be delivering the PANTS programme from Monday 14th November. During the sessions, we will be focusing on the following areas in a context and manner that is suited to children aged five and six:

  • The PANTS rule – class discussion
  • Body Parts – labelling parts of the body as a class
  • Consent and touch – class discussion
  • Trusted adults – creating a trusted tree
