EY1 Term 2 Announcements

Dear EY1 Families, 

Please find below some important announcements for the forthcoming weeks:

Unseen Readers

Starting in Week 5 (wk com: 1st Feb) your child will receive an additional home reading book each week.  This book will be an unseen reader that your child has not read or seen before.  Please support and encourage your child to read this book with you. You may discover that your child finds the unseen readers more challenging than their other home readers, please be assured this is normal. Please note, the children will have self selected their unseen reader books and may have read them before. If you have any further questions regarding the unseen readers please contact your class teacher. 

Chinese New Year Dress Up

To celebrate Chinese New Year, DBIS children are invited to wear traditional Chinese dress or red/gold/yellow clothing into school on Friday 5th February. There will also be an online assembly at 2.20pm on Friday 5th February to celebrate Chinese New Year. A link for this assembly will be available via your virtual classroom on SeeSaw. 

Family Tree Photos

Our EY1 team would like to create a Family Tree in each classroom. In order to support this we would like to invite your child to bring in a family photo to share with their teacher and peers. This can be a hard copy photo, sent via email or submitted via SeeSaw. Thank you very much.
