EY2 Seesaw Activities w/b 11th May

Dear EY2 Parents & Carers,

Thank you for your continued support with your child’s online learning. We thoroughly enjoy seeing all the children’s work and progress on Seesaw.

Over the next couple of weeks we will be including some assessment tasks for the children to complete. As we did in Term 2, we will ask for the children to complete these activities independently, without any adult support. It is important that the children do these activities without support so that we can gain an accurate overview of your child’s understanding and progress.

When we carry out assessments in class, we explain to the children that the ‘quiz activities’ are supposed to be challenging so that we can see what they can do and also what they need help with. We discuss how they should try their best and not worry if there are questions that they find challenging. We will explain this to them in our daily slides and in our Google Meet sessions but please also reiterate this to your child during the assessment tasks.

We will clearly indicate the activities over the next two weeks that we would like the children to complete independently. The week beginning 11th May will involve independent Maths challenges and the week beginning the 18th May will ask the children to do some independent Writing and Reading activities.

If you have any questions regarding any of the home learning please continue to contact your child’s class teacher via the Seesaw ‘inbox’ function.

Kind regards,

The Year 2 Team
