EY2 Wednesday mornings in school

Dear EY2 Families,

We are delighted that we are able to welcome our classes back into school each Wednesday morning.

On Wednesday mornings the children are asked to arrive at 8:00am with their hat, snack and water bottle. Their class teacher will take their temperature at the classroom door, please also ensure you take and record your child’s temperature prior to coming to school. A form for doing this will be posted on the hub.

As the children are in class on Wednesday, we will no longer give out reading books and resources on Tuesday afternoons. These will be given to the children to take home with them on Wednesday mornings instead. We will also give each child a ‘lucky dip library book.’ We kindly ask that the children return their old reading books and library books back into school each Wednesday.

We also ask those who have signed up to the Mini Duke Award to bring in their Mini Duke Journals into school on this day so they can have their achievements assessed. The journals will then be taken home with the children at the end of the morning.

Thank you to everyone once again for your support with our EY2 online learning programme. The children have continued to impress us with their enthusiasm and resilience this term. We are all looking forward to seeing the children back in school next Wednesday 13th January. Our online learning programme will continue as normal when the children are not in school.

If you have any queries at all about any of the above, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher.

Kind regards,

The EY2 Team

Emily Sharman (Year Group Leader), Lyndsey Coote, Jane Broderick and Ciara Sasikumar
