Dear EY2 Families,
Welcome to term 2! We hope you all had a relaxing break and wish you all a happy new year. As confirmed by the EDB, our term will begin with online learning from Monday 4th January. We are all really disappointed that we will not be able to welcome the children back into our classrooms but are confident the children will continue to impress us with their great enthusiasm and resilience when engaging with their online learning opportunities.
The EY2 online learning provision and groupings for your child will remain the same as before the holiday. Each day will begin with a short Google Meet welcome. The Seesaw activities will be available from 5:00pm the evening before. Your child’s class teacher will introduce each Maths and Writing lesson on Google Meet. They will then continue to stay online whilst your child engages with the lesson activity, so they can answer any questions, if needed.

Reading Books and Resources:
As before the holiday, each Tuesday between 1:00-2:00pm, class readers and resources will be available to be collected from outside the school gate of the Main Campus.
Term 2 Learning
This term we will be starting a new Discovery unit called ‘Live and Let Live,’ which has a Science and Geography focus.
We will be covering the following units in Maths:
-Statistics
-Measurement – capacity, mass & temperature
-Time
-Fractions
-Multiplication & Division
In Writing, we will learn some new ‘Writing Secrets’ through the genres of non-chronological reports and narratives.
