Final Message to Year 11 Parents

Dear Year 11 Parents,
Firstly I would like to extend my thanks to you all for your support throughout my time as Year 11 YGL.  Education is a partnership between parents, students and school so thank you for helping me to help your son/daughter.  As students enjoy their final day together in Year 11 today (12/06) I am immensely proud of them all.
To the students and families leaving us this year I wish success and good luck on your next venture and hope that students remain in touch with one another and the school.  We love to hear how our alumni are getting on.

Some important information to share with you all going forward;
Year 12 Induction
Students returning to us for Year 12 will have two induction days on 12th & 13th August 2020.  These induction days are extremely important and are compulsory in terms of attendance.
Year 11 iGCSE Results
All of this information has already been shared with students both face to face in an assembly today (12/06) and was also posted to their Year 11 Classroom during their final week at school.  Access to school email and Google accounts will remain open for all students until September 2020 (students who are staying with us will keep their current email and Google account information).
Results will be available online and in hard copy.  Results will be released at the following times;
Cambridge International Exams
11th August 2020 at 4:01pm online and from 3pm hard copy.
Students will be able to access their results online.  A hard copy of results will be available for students to collect from the secondary music room from 3pm-4pm on the same day.
Edexcel Exams
20th August 2020 at 4pm online and from 3pm hard copy.
Students will be able to access their results online.  A hard copy of results will be available for students to collect from the North Plaza Campus from 3pm-4pm on the same day.
AQA Exams
20th August 2020.  These results will be available in hard copy only.
These results will be available to collect from the North Plaza Campus from 3pm-4pm.  They are not available online as AQA do not have an online system for results.
BTEC qualifications
20th August 2020.These results will be available in hard copy only.
These results will be available to collect from the North Plaza Campus from 3pm-4pm.  They are not available online as BTEC do not have an online system for results.
If students cannot collect their AQA or BTEC results because they are not in the country they can email the exams officer (from their school email accounts) to request their results.
The 20th August is a school day (we would be one week into the new term) and arrangements will be made for students to finish their final lesson of the day a little early in order to collect their results.
Accessing results online
Students will receive an email at the beginning of August with information and details of how to access their results.  It will be sent to their school email address.
For Cambridge International results students need to enter their username and password at the results website https://myresults.org.uk after the results are released at 4:01pm on 11th August 2020.
For Edexcel results students need to activate their accounts by entering their verification code (token) at this address: https://www.resultsplusdirect.co.uk/Students/login.html#emailActivate. It is a good idea for students to activate their accounts in advance of results day as the site will be particularly busy on that day.  Results will be available from 4pm on results days.
Nominating someone to collect results
The exam boards make the rules when it comes to results and due to data protection there are strict guidelines about who can collect them.  If students would like someone to collect results on their behalf they must email the exams officer from their school email address at least 24 hours in advance of results days giving permission and naming the person who will be collecting results.
The person collecting results must bring their HKID or passport with them when they come to collect the results.  This is the same rule regardless of who the person is (family member or other).
The email address for our exams officer in August is [email protected]
Finally I would like to wish you and your families an enjoyable and safe summer.
Thank you
Emma Cerrone
