FS-1 and FS-2 International Sports Week

Dear Parents & Guardians,

I am delighted to inform you that EYFS International Sports Week will run from Monday 6th November to Friday 10th November.

The PE team have designed an action-packed week of sporting activities, where every student will have the opportunity to enjoy being physically active and have an opportunity to explore with different sports equipment from around the globe. During PE lessons and lunchtime break there will be a variety of international sports activities which the children can experience.

Shared Lunch/Food

On Friday 10th November, there will be a shared lunch in the classrooms; students are asked to bring in food to share that represents their home country. You will find a shared lunch sign-up sheet on each class communication board for families to contribute.

What to bring: One item from the sign-up sheet, plate, cutlery (in a named bag or lunchbox)

Hot food drop-off for FS-1 and FS-2: 11am

Reminders: Please label your dish, and may we kindly remind parents/guardians that all food items must be NUT-FREE. Please be mindful of portion size; we wish to reduce food wastage.

What to Wear

Students can wear a sports kit to school on Friday 10th November.  This can be a team kit or a national replica kit from their home country, or the students can simply wear their national or house colours.

As part of the week’s programme, we also plan to raise awareness of eating a healthy balanced diet alongside staying active.

Please contact me if you have any questions about our Early Years  International Sports Week.

 Best regards,

Sally Cranston
