Dear FS-1 and FS-2 Families,
On Thursday 12th February 2026, FS-1 and FS-2 will be watching the stage performance of Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book. The performance will be held at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in Wan Chai.
The children are to arrive at school at the usual time of 8.55am, and buses will depart at approximately 10.30am.
The cost of the trip will be HK$450 per child, which includes the show ticket and the transportation for your child. Payments must be made by 9th January 2026 for your child to attend. Please submit cash or cheque payments (payable to Discovery Bay International School) to the office. If you wish to pay via bank transfer, please use the following details:

On the day, the children will need to wear full school uniform and bring a packed lunch and a water bottle. We will have an earlier lunch before we leave and further snacks on our return. Please note that all lunches must be at school at drop-off time (8.55am). There will be no later lunch drop-offs available.
We will require some parent helpers to support us with this exciting trip. A parent sign-up sheet will be made available by your class teacher closer to the time. If a large number of parents volunteer, then names will be chosen from a hat.
Please note that this trip was planned and tickets were purchased in Term 1.1, before the confirmation of the new Starlight class. As a result, Starlight children will not be able to participate in this trip. However, we will arrange other special trips in the future that Starlight children can join.
