Hong Kong History Museum Trip – Year 5

14.01.20

Dear Parents,

To launch our next Discovery Unit of ‘Our Hong Kong’, we would like to take the Year 5 children on a trip to the Hong Kong History Museum. This trip will take place on Wednesday 12th February 2020.

On the day, the children need to arrive at school by the normal time of 8:20am. We will leave DBIS at 9am and return to school by 3.00pm.

Please ensure that your child:

  • brings a snack, packed lunch and a full water bottle in their school back pack
  • wears correct school uniform (with a hat) and comfortable, black school uniform shoes

The History Museum itself is free of charge, however we kindly ask that you contribute $50 towards the cost of coaches to and from the museum. This $50 can be brought to Lorie in the school office.

If any parents would like to volunteer to help on this trip please let your child’s class parent or teacher know as soon as possible.

We are sure that the children will both enjoy this day out and get excited for learning about all of Hong Kong’s diverse and unique history for the rest of Term 2.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask your child’s class teacher.

Kind regards,

Rachel Ashcroft      Helen Kavanagh      Lyndsay McKenzie      Isabelle Manley-Cooper
